Las Vegas Academy of the Arts Performing Arts Center, Theaters & Tickets
The Las Vegas Academy of the Arts Performing Arts Center, in addition to training students in art, is also a popular venue in the city. The school is home to three theatrical venues. These include the Black Box Theater, the Lowden Theater, as well as the Performing Arts Theater.
The Black Box Theater is the smallest of the three, with a seating capacity of between 80 and 120 guests, while the Lowden Theater can seat 675 guests. On the other hand, The Performing Arts Theater is the largest with a seating capacity of 1,100 people.
The theatrical venues may be open for rental, but it is important to note that student performances and LVA sponsored events are a priority. As such, open dates for non-school events may be limited.
Every rental contract must include the hiring of a theater manager and custodian at the renter’s expense. Technical support is available, and an additional fee may be charged for special technical requests.
More importantly, rentals are only available on weekday evenings between 3pm and 9:30pm, as well as on Saturdays between 7am and 9:30pm. The venues are not available for rental on Sundays.
Owing to its rich heritage and unique Art Deco design, the Las Vegas Academy of the Arts Performing Arts Center is also a popular filming venue. However, those interested must contact the school and abide by the filming regulations provided.
