The city’s layout consists of the Main Street, the Strip, and Downtown Las Vegas. The Main Street is located close to the city’s numbered streets, all running from north to south. This street is also the location of the city’s bus station.
Downtown Las Vegas is home to many hotel-casinos and the iconic Fremont Street Experience. This is a pedestrian mall located west of Fremont Street and is popular for its endless entertainment options and gaming casinos.
It is impossible to provide Las Vegas Information without including Las Vegas Boulevard, which is popularly referred to as the Strip. This north-south street is lined with luxurious casino-hotels, chic shopping malls, and a host of attractions that make it one of the city’s most enduring landmarks. At the street’s northern end lies the STRAT Tower from where visitors can take thrilling rides above the city.
The Strip’s southern end is home to the McCarran International Airport, allowing easy access into the city. Other key landmarks near the Strip, in addition to the hotel-casinos, include the Las Vegas Monorail, the Las Vegas Convention Center as well as the University of Nevada Las Vegas.
Getting around Las Vegas is made easy with its numerous transport options. Popular bus services include Greyhound buses, Starline tours, and the Megabus buses. For travelers arriving by plane, options available include McCarran International Airport, Henderson Executive Airport, and North Las Vegas Airport.
Las Vegas Information provided also includes transport services between the airport and the casino hotels. These include the RTC Bus Route 108, and the Centennial Express. Additional options include cabs, limousines, and shuttle buses. Las Vegas is also easily accessible on foot.
