Eldorado Casino

The Eldorado Casino in Henderson is a historic casino that’s been around for several decades – owned and operated by the Boyd Gaming Corporation.

The establishment initially opened as the Wheel Casino in February 1961. The following year, it was closed, though it was purchased by Paul Perry.

For the transaction, he was represented by Attorney Bill Boyd, who worked in exchange for stock in the company. Boyd was responsible for bringing in other investors and then reopened as the Eldorado Casino.

In 1977, the casino underwent a $1.5 million renovation. This resulted in an expansion of a whopping 30,000 square feet, to accommodate the town’s fast growth. This followed by another $700,000 renovation in 2017.

What makes this casino different from many others is that it utilizes a charming Southwestern theme in its design. This reflects their admiration for all things that are uniquely Nevada.

It also provides avid players with an opportunity to play in an intimate setting. There are several popular casino games available here, including table games, slots, bingo, keno, and sportsbooks.
