Zion National Park

Zion National Park is an amazing attraction that is home to some of the most awe-inspiring sights in the United States.

Located an easy two-and-a-half-hour drive from Las Vegas, this park is the perfect destination for the outdoor enthusiast looking for some adventure outside of the neon city.

One of the park’s most fascinating features is its towering set of cliffs that consist of multi-colored sandstone rocks. These striking features are believed to have been formed millions of years ago when the waters of the rushing Virgin River chipped away at the high canyon walls within the park.

Across the park, you can’t help but notice the golden, reddish, and brownish rocks that provide a wonderful contrast with the flora present in the valley. The park is home to pine trees, small evergreen shrubs known as Manzanita, and small leguminous trees referred to as Mesquite. This is also a fantastic opportunity to marvel at the moss-covered grottoes that dot the park.

Exploring the Zion National Park reveals the array of wildlife species that call this park home. From the hummingbirds to the desert tortoise, bats, and even falcons, there is no shortage of animals to watch and appreciate. If you visit during spring and summer, the stunning views of the abundant flowers make the trip a worthwhile adventure.

Other popular activities around the park include tubing on the Virgin River, horse riding and biking. To enjoy all this, access the main part of the park through the town of& Springdale in Utah. The drive to the park is a scenic trip that goes through numerous canyons and features excellent opportunities to take plenty of photos along the way. On arrival, visitors can leave their vehicles at the parking lot and take the park shuttle to get around.

Zion National Park also has three overnight camping grounds for accommodation, but remember to make your reservation early & especially during the holiday season.
