The expansive exhibit measures 25,000 square feet and has many different items on display that were collected after the titanic sunk. These include whistles used on the ship, passenger luggage, floor tiles from the smoking room in First Class, and even a Cafe window frame. For lovers of wine, there is an unopened bottle of champagne, complete with a 1900 vintage!
But nothing captures this tragedy as perfectly as a piece of the hull featured at the exhibition. This piece, which is a full-scale recreation of the lavish Staircase, is set to wow visitors who may, for the first time, becoming up close to the Titanic.
In addition to the hull, there is also an outer Promenade Deck here. One of the most outstanding aspects of this deck is that it features the wintry temperatures on that fateful night.
What’s most surprising is that these artifacts were collected two miles below the surface of the North Atlantic Ocean. Stroll on the ship’s decks, peep into the cabins, and interact with the crew as you step back in time to its maiden voyage on 10th April 1912.
Viewing the exhibition is a glimpse into the ship’s history, what was once described as an ‘unsinkable’ ship. You will also have a deeper appreciation for the personal artifacts that evoke deep emotional connections to the souls of those long departed.
Wind up your tour of Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition with a stroll through the re-created first and third-class rooms. General admission tickets cost $32, $30, and $24 for adults, seniors, and children (4-12 years), respectively.
