The design of the dome in the theatre means that audiences get to enjoy the displays on the hemispheric system for an exhilarating experience. Depending on the time of your visit, each session has a different focus. There is an array of celestial objects to watch, including the clusters of different stars, the planets, and the moon.
The out-of-this-world beauty at The Planetarium at CSN is a sight to behold. In addition to this, once the longitude, latitude, date and time are set, visitors in the theatre can see the stunning treasures of the night sky for that specific evening. This is a stimulating introduction to outer space and something for the whole family to enjoy.
Note that there are different events and shows for the public on weekends. Note that since this is home for the Las Vegas Astronomical Society, occasionally the Planetarium will be used for introductory courses for astronomy students.
