Nevada Southern Railway, Museum & Train Ride Fares, Boulder City NV
The Nevada Southern Railway Museum is the only location of its kind where visitors can ride a full-sized train in the state. There are two options when it comes to enjoying the train rides: taking the open-air car or choosing the Pullman coaches that come with air conditioning.
The open-air coaches have the advantage of providing great photo opportunities, while the coaches offer great protection from the elements. Either way, both are ideal for anyone who appreciates the state’s rail system. Visitors get to listen to an audio commentary with the presence of volunteers who are at hand to share fun facts during the train ride.
The ride on Nevada Southern Railway is seven miles long for a round tour and takes just under an hour, so there is ample time to take plenty of photos. Look out for the planes touching down at Boulder City airport, marvel at the verdant green of the golf course, and see if you can spot the nearby solar panel farm. There are panoramic views of the desert and moments where the ride brings you up close to the mountains.
Once the trip has ended, pass by the gift shop to get a souvenir as a reminder of an unforgettable ride.
If you are wondering how to escape the bustle of Las Vegas, then look no further than the Nevada Southern Railway Museum!
