Insanity at the STRAT is an aptly named attraction whose rides are a truly mind-boggling experience.

This ride, just as the name suggests, is an insane adventure. A casual glance of the ride itself reveals why.

The thrill ride includes a giant mechanical arm that stretches out more than 64 feet over the edge of the STRAT Tower at a dizzying height of 900 feet, and then the ride spins you in the open air at whirlwind speeds with forces of up to 3Gs. The feeling of floating off your chair is an exciting sensory experience and one that is almost always accompanied by screams and delighted shrieks.

During the ride, passengers are typically propelled around at a 70-degree angle, which effectively tilts your body into looking down at the ground below! If you are afraid of heights, this is the test of a lifetime that will have you either closing your eyes in sheer terror or opening them in extreme awe.

If you can keep your eyes open during this adrenaline-packed ride, the reward is some of the most magnificent views across Las Vegas. The ride during the day is a perfect place to soak in the city’s sounds and at night, an amazingly scenic opportunity to view Las Vegas bathed in an ethereal glow.

An entry fee is charged for admission to SkyPod observation point and the ride area itself. Visitors also have the option of getting a package that combines both entry to the tower and the cost of the rides. An unlimited package is available for the adrenaline junkie, and this is inclusive of the SkyPod and unlimited thrill rides on Insanity, Big Shot, and X-Scream.

Owing to the nature of the rides and the extreme G forces experiences, this ride is not suitable for visitors with physical, mental, and medical conditions that will otherwise limit them.
