Another notable collection at the Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art was Samurai: Armor from the Ann and Gabriel Barbier-Mueller Collection. This collection celebrates and honors the life, art, and culture of the iconic samurai warrior. The Samurai warrior is an important part of Japanese history and has long been heralded as an indelible part of the culture.
The collection features more than 50 pieces worn by the samurai as part of his armor. A number of the objects on display are items that were used both during ceremonies and during battles – a beautiful contrast that forms part of a fantastic culture.
Note that the exhibition days vary, and will typically run for a few months before the exhibits are changed. Private groups and tours of at least ten people are welcomed to explore Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art.
The gallery is open between 10am and 7pm and is located inside the Bellagio Hotel & Casino, at the intersection of Las Vegas Blvd and Flamingo Road.
