Las Vegas Areas

Las Vegas is mostly known for its world-famous Las Vegas Strip, but that is not all that there is to this popular city in Nevada. For visitors who would like to go beyond The Strip’s trappings, there are many fun-filled areas to visit.

From major neighborhoods to quiet laidback towns and everything in between, Las Vegas does not disappoint.

There is no better place to start this tour than at the Las Vegas Strip. This is, undoubtedly, the place where many visitors spend their time. With some of the world’s most popular casinos on site, this is every gamer’s dream come true. Enjoy Italian flair at The Venetian, spend an afternoon with exotic birds at the Flamingo, and wind up with dusk views at the STRAT Observation deck.

Explore Madame Tussauds Las Vegas and enjoy ‘meeting’ celebrities from all over the world. Drop by at Planet Hollywood for a delicious meal before going to The LINQ for an unforgettable nightlife experience.

South of the Las Vegas Strip is a popular area with visitors, thanks to its charm and unique character. This area has fewer casinos compared to The Strip, making it an ideal family destination.

Downtown Las Vegas revolves around Fremont Street. This quirky neighborhood is located a few minutes away from the Strip and is loved for its artsy vibes. Take an hour to learn about the history of organized crime and how that has shaped the country’s culture while at the Mob Museum. From here, make your way to Neon Museum and appreciate the rich heritage that neon lights represent in the city. The Las Vegas Premium Outlets North is the perfect place to go shopping.

Summerlin is located west of Las Vegas and is mostly a residential neighborhood. However, it does have family-friendly options that include parks, cycling tracks, and hiking trails. A little further, the Red Rock Canyon National Recreation Area awaits adventure-lovers.

At Henderson, visitors get to indulge at the Ethel M Chocolate Factory before going all wet and wild at the Lake Mead National Recreation Area.

Other nearby areas include Boulder City, Glendale, Vegas Creek, and Sunrise Manor, among others.
