The town’s history goes back to 1867 when it was annexed to be included as part of Lincoln County. Lincoln County was then divided to form what is presently Clark County, and which is where Laughlin is located. The town was named in honor of Don Laughlin, the man who is credited with the opening of the Riverside Casino. Since then, the town has undergone a dramatic transformation to the vibrant resort town that it is today.
